Craig Harman

I got into recruitment after a stint as a corporate finance broker. Now, more than ten years later, I have a career greater than anything I imagined when I first started out. It just shows that it doesn’t matter what your background is. With the right attitude and application, you can make a real difference in this industry.

The people I work with every day are incredible. Not only from a work perspective. They’re also all-round good people who I call my very close friends now. I also love our clients and hearing how we exceed their expectations and how we are critical to their success.

But I am most proud of the way we do things. We deliver on what we say we will. Too many times clients have heard all the right things but never get the result. Here, our process, knowledge and hard work delivers. Clients are constantly saying we deliver better candidates than the competition, a lot quicker.

It’s obvious to everyone that the Australia business has been a huge success. Its unrivalled. But it’s the way we have done it. We’ve worked hard. We’ve been honest with ourselves and each other. We’ve support each other through challenging times. We’ve had fun and we have changed people’s lives since launching.

My original dream was to build a “multi-office, multi-brand business in APAC”. We now have an exciting office in Hong Kong along with the JDRoss business in Australia. So we have got to a point which I had aimed for. Now I am focused on making sure that we continue to grow and become better and better for our clients and candidates. I want to see everyone at Opus develop their careers and can look forward to an even brighter future.
