Database Administrator


I'm looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join a customer focused, multi award-winning business based in South Manchester.

You will be the ‘go to DBA’ in their brand-new development team, working closely alongside the Technical Architects to look after the SQL implementation and get involved with their exciting projects for 2019.


What you would be doing:
  • Responsible for data / information in the business.
  • Responsibility for & expert on database architecture and operation
  • Properly plan data and databases for new / existing systems and applications.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of business and I.T. systems and their effect on data.
  • Work on and lead (agreed) cross functional I.T. projects.
  • Ensure I.T. delivers timely and accurate information to the business. Define & deliver reporting / BI strategy.
  • Mentor support and development teams on best practice relating to data systems.
  • Ensure best practice is adhered to in relation to data systems.
Essential Skills:
  • Excellent SQL / BI  skills
  • DBA Experience 5 + years
  • Well rounded I.T. experience
  • In depth understanding of business processes.
  • Confident communicator
  • Ability to build interdepartmental working relationships
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and multitask
