Support Engineer - £33,000 - £40,000 – Wetherby

An experienced Microsoft based and “all round” support engineer is needed to join a successful IT Consultancy business in their Wetherby offices. You’ll be working for a business that focuses purely on Enterprise customers and therefore the work you will be doing is very in-depth and high level service desk calls where you will be constantly learning and developing.
  • As part of the Service Desk team you will be a senior on the desk working with customers and answering calls but as the clients are of an Enterprise level the calls and issues you deal with will be interesting and in-depth issues – you’ll likely take 2 to 5 calls per day
  • The work you will focus on could be very wide ranging across the Microsoft Stack, Back-up and Virtualisation
  • You will likely be dealing with Vendors and senior level technical customers to help resolve issues
  • You will be expected from time to time to visit local customers to complete health checks and on occasion go to the data centre

Skills / Experience Required:
  • You should have experience up to 3rd line support for the past 2yrs.
  • You should have a broad technical skills set across Microsoft / Backup / Virtualisation
  • You must have experience with change processes – ideally with experience being part of or dealing with Enterprise size customers and therefore understand the change process
  • You must have excellent communications skills and ability to deal with customers on the phone and writing technical documentation
  • You should have experience dealing with Vendors on the phone.
